摘要:
归化和异化属于宏观翻译策略, 都蕴涵着文化因素。异化主张保留构成语言的文化因子; 归化则主张以地道的译语表达 形式和相应的文化因子进行翻译。作为实际语义值的一部分, 文化因素理应成为翻译工作者的考量内容。从人类认知角度来看, 选择归化或异化, 就是在选择不同的文化立场和文化系统。成功的译文应该保证译文读者从译文中取得的语境效果与原文读者从 原文中取得的语境效果相同。因此, 在进行跨文化交际时, 归化和异化都应该做到语用对等。
Abstract:
Basically, ther e are cultural facto rs both in domesticat ing method and in foreig nizing method. The latter fav ors r etaining cultural facto rs w hich ar e part s of lang uag es; the fo rmer fav ors the authent ic expressio n of target lang uag es and co rresponding cultural facto rs. As part of the actual semant ic value, cultural facto rs sho uld be co nsidered by t ranslators. From the perspect iv e o f human cog nit ion, select ing domest icat ing method or foreignizing method is selecting dif ferent standpoint s and cultural systems. Successful tr anslation should ensure that the ef fect obtained by readers of the translat ion are the same as that is achiev ed by readers o f the original . Therefo re, in cross- cultural communicat ion, domest icat ing metho d and foreignizing method should both realize pr agmat ic equivalence.
