摘要:
江苏常州位于太湖流域, 吴文化的中心地带。常州地域文化中, 处处体现出水文化的特质。首先表现在衣食住行等物质 文化层; 其次, 常州文人与水关系密切。以白云溪为例, 这条不足一公里的小溪, 聚集了许多名士; 其三, 在心态文化层中, 常 州文化也充分体现了水文化的特质。水“善下”、“不争”, 象征着谦逊的特性, 水还有融通、诚信等特点, 这些特性在常州地域 文化中得到了很好的传承, 清代常州学派、阳湖文派、毗陵诗派等, 都体现了这些特点。如今, 常州文化中的“水性”依然润泽 着常州人。
Abstract:
Changzhou, a city in Jiangsu prov ince, lies in Taihu reg ion, w hich is the cent ral part of Wu culture. The local cultur e o f Chang zhou is a typical reflct ion of water culture in several aspect s. First ly, it is indicated in the material lev el like fo od, clothing and housing etc. Secondly, scholar s in Changzhou are losely related to water. A case in point is Baiyun St ream, w hich at t racts many famous scholars though it is less than one kilometer in length. Finally , w ater culture is embodied in the states of mind o f people in Changzho u, w ho are st il l nourished by the qualit ies o f w ater at present .
