“内”与“外”是政治文化视域下分析中西方文明异同的一对有趣的“矛盾”。东方尤其是中国政治哲学偏重内生性、内源性，个人层面强调道德修养等内在的约束机制，治理层面有具有极强包容性的内化力量；西方政治文化则偏重外向性、开拓性，社会生活中强调法律对个体的外在强制力，历史上通过征服手段向外扩张也屡见不鲜。开展中西政治文化的“内外之辨”，有利于我们更为理性、审慎地看待当今全球化时代政治、经济、社会、文化、生活等领域诸多矛盾与冲突的根源，从而为中华文明伟大复兴提供有益的思考路径。

“Inside”and“outside” is an interesting “contradiction” in the analysis of the similarities and differences between the eastern and western cultures from the perspective of political culture. The East, especially the Chinese political philosophy, emphasizes introversion and endogenous, at personal level, internal restraining mechanism such as moral cultivation is emphasized, and at governance level, there is a strong and inclusive internalization force; the western political philosophy emphasizes extroversion and pioneering, social life emphasizes the external coercive force of the law on the individual，and historically, expansion through conquest occurred often. “Identifying inside and outside” in eastern and western political cultures is conducive to the more reasonable and cautious looking at the root of many conflicts and contradictions in the fields of politics, economy, society, culture and life in the era of globalization, which provides a useful thinking path for the great rejuvenation of Chinese civilization.
