摘要:
亨利·詹姆斯笔下的“有闲阶级”贵妇贤淑高雅、有钱有闲，成为心理现实主义小说中理想女性的化身。她们疯狂地追求自由、勇敢地体验生活和真切地感受社会，在天真无邪和自主独立的背后，隐藏着坎坷的命运和挫败的婚姻，反映出19世纪末20 世纪初美国真实的社会状况。本文从理论溯源、创作动因和群像塑造三个层面加以论述，揭示詹姆斯“有闲阶级”贵妇形象塑造的真正艺术价值和现实意义所在。
Abstract:
Henry James made a vivid portrayal of the ladies of“leisure class”in his novels． They are elegant，rich，free and are the ideal women in psychological realistic novels． They pursue freedom crazily，observe and learnfrom real life． Behind their innocence and independence，hide their rough lives and failed marriages，which reflect the social reality of the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century in America． This article attempts to interpret James' literary works from the perspectives of theory characterization and image to reveal the artistic value and realistic meanings of the creation of“leisure class”ladies．
