摘要:
地方色彩”是作家塑造人物形象、突出作品主题的重要手段。作家借助他们熟悉的环境、事件和人物, 描述的是一个 “乡土小世界”, 但努力表达的却是超越地域和时代局限的人类共性。“地方色彩”强调本土性, 但在翻译这种跨文化跨语言的活 动中, 本土性不可避免地发生变形或丧失。从《小二黑结婚》的英译本中, 可以看到“地方色彩”在走向世界过程中的变形、丧 失, 以及在译入语中重构的全部过程。
Abstract:
Local feature is a key technique employed by wr iters to depict char acter s and to highlight the theme. Writers use the environment , the characters and the events w hich they are familiar w ith to create a “s mall wo rld”, but their w o rks g ain universal significance. In the pro cess of t ranslat ion, lo cal color is inev itably deformed, lost and reconst ructed in the tar get culture, w hich can be observed throug h the analysis of the t ranslat io n of a Chinese nov el .
