摘要:
中国古典诗歌中, 人称指示词常常被隐匿省略; 而英语诗歌中, 人称指示词往往不可或缺。因此, 英译中国古典诗歌时, 译者往往需要补译人称指示词, 从而使译文指称明确, 再现原诗的主旨和意境。补译人称指示词时, 译者既应考虑原诗的创作背 景、情景语境和文化内涵, 也应考虑译诗的情趣与意境, 从而正确地补译人称, 达到再现、重构原诗的主旨与意境的目的; 有时, 译者也可以用恰当的人称指示词来隐替原诗中反复出现、或者不太重要的人名地名、历史典故或者含有特定文化内涵的专有名 词, 从而使译诗文字简洁、意义集中。
Abstract:
Per sonal pr onouns ar e of ten omit ted or implicit in ancient Chinese poems whereas explicit and indispensable in Eng lish poems. T herefo re, it is necessary fo r the tr anslato r to supplement personal prono uns, in order to make the t ranslated versio n acco rd w ith Eng lish g rammat ical rules, and help the t ranslated version repr esent the essence and poet ic mood o f the orig inal w riting. T o represent the essence and po et ic mo od of the o riginal poem thro ug h the appro priate supplement o f perso nal pronouns, the t ranslator has to take into considerat io n the creat io n backg round, co ntext situat io n and cul tural connotat ion of the original poem, as w ell as the poet ic moo d of the t ranslated version. In some cases, the t ranslato r co uld consider subst itut ing the personal pro no uns for the recurr ent or unimportant names, places, idioms, and pr oper no uns w ith special Chinese cultural co nnotat io ns in the o riginal poem, so as to make the t ranslated po em concise in language and co ncent rated in meaning .
