摘要:
在人类社会中, 男性的主导地位和女性的从属地位导致了语言中的性别歧视现象, 这一现象在英语和汉语中尤为突出。 女权主义学者对这一歧视现象进行了抨击, 她们甚至要求消除语言中的歧视现象。虽然彻底消除语言中的性别歧视行不通, 但减 轻这一现象是可行的, 一些官方部门和女权主义学者提出并采取了很多避免语言歧视的措施。减轻这一现象既可以在一定程度上 减轻对女性的歧视, 又可以使英语和汉语表达更准确。
Abstract:
In human society, dominant - male- and- obedient - female phenomenon has led to linguist ic sex ism w hich is rather o bv io us in English and Chinese. Feminists ex plor e and cr it icize the sex ist language and even w ant to eliminate this phenomenon. Altho ug h eliminat ing linguist ic sex ism is infeasible, reducing it is feasible. Some off icial depar tment s and feminist scholars have pro posed and adopted counter- sexistlang uag e measures. Reducing sexist lang uag e can reduce, to a certain extent , the discrimination against females, and achieve a gr eater linguist ic accuracy o f Eng lish and Chinese as w ell .
