《抗战历史剧》《读〈北京人〉——我们是第二代的“北京人”》《我发见了舞台上的孩子——看了〈表〉的演出之后》是吴祖光发表于重庆版《中央日报》的三篇集外佚文。《抗战历史剧》提出了“向历史上去找材料”,以此作为解决戏剧公式化问题的方案。《读〈北京人〉——我们是第二代的“北京人”》以诗意化的笔墨盛赞了曹禺剧作《北京人》所塑造的猿人形象,这一形象被吴祖光视作戏剧家向民族历史上寻找到的“材料”。《我发见了舞台上的孩子——看了〈表〉的演出之后》通过称许董林肯改编的戏剧《表》,对抗战时期儿童剧存在的“成人化”弊端进行了反思,纯真的儿童又被吴祖光当作戏剧家向个体历史上寻找到的“材料”。这三篇文章,从总分角度,宣扬了“向历史上去找材料”的戏剧编演路径,其最终目的,都是期望以“历史材料”编就的戏剧故事来“淬励”战时中国人民的内在精神。
Abstract:
The Historical Drama of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Reading PekingMan—We Are the Second Generation of Peking Man, I saw the Children on Stage—After Watching the Performance of The Watch, are three lost articles not included in the collection published by Wu Zuguang in Chongqing edition of Central Daily.The Historical Drama of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression put forward the idea of “looking for materials in history” as a solution to the formulaic problem of drama.Reading Peking Man—We Are theSecond Generation ofPeking Man praises the ape image created by Cao Yu’s play Peking Man with poetic words, which is regarded by Wu Zuguang as the “material” that dramatists have found in national history.I saw the Children onStage—AfterWatching thePerformance of The Watch reflects on the drawbacks of “adultification” of child play during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression by praising the play The Watch adapted by Dong Linken, and Wu Zuguang regards innocent children as “materials” that dramatists have found in individual history.These three articles, from the perspective of summarization and classification, publicize the path of drama adaption and performance of “looking for materials in history”, and the ultimate goal is to “inspire” the inner spirit of the Chinese in wartime with drama stories adapted from “historical materials”.
