摘要:
赵元任语言学生涯中最杰出的贡献当属现代汉语方面的成就。他以北京音系为基础, 使用西方历史比较语言学和中国传 统考据学等学科统一了汉语语音, 并采用五度标音等方法来揭示其字调语调的特殊性, 他借助美国结构主义语言学的理论全面系 统地分析并确立了现代汉语语法。赵元任的成果促进了国内外汉语教学和研究的发展以及民族素质的提高, 弥补了美国结构主义 语言学在语音研究方面的不足。
Abstract:
Zhao Yuan- r en's most outstanding co nt ribut ions to linguist ics are his achiev ement s in modern Chinese. Based on the pho nology of Beijing, guided by western histor ical- comparat iv e linguist ics and t radit ional domest ic textolo gy , he unified the Chinese phonolog ical system, and rev ealed the pecul iarit ies of it s tones and intonations by the sy stem of tone- letters etc. Making use of American st ructuralism to analy ze modern Chinese compr ehensively and systemat ically , he established Chinese g rammar . His achiev ement s helped to accelerate the development of Chinese teaching and research at home and abroad, to impro ve the nat ion's quality , and enrich the phonolog ical know ledge of American st ructuralism.
